Jill's 10th Birthday!

Jill just had her 10th birthday! Wow! I know I always say this, but it really does feel like just yesterday we brought her home with us. Jill has always had a bit a tender spot in my heart. Due to some complications of labor and delivery, when Jill was born she was not breathing. We didn't even get to look at her. The doctors were there waiting and grabbed her and began working desperately to get her to breathe. It was only a couple of minutes before we heard her tiny cry, but it felt like an eternity. When she was finally placed in my arms I felt a tremendous rush of gratitude to my Heavenly Father for giving us this precious little one.

Jill loved her birthday. I was out running around getting her gift and dinner fixings so she got to spend the morning at home in her pjs watching tv. This doesn't happen very often so she thought it was great. I always let the kids pick a favorite meal for their birthday. Jill chose chicken quesadillas. YUM!! Then we had cake,ice cream and of course presents! Thanks for all of you who came to celebrate with us!







Here are some special things about Jill:
*Jill loves PURPLE!
*Jill likes all animals, but LOVES horses! (She is not too fond of cats, however, since we found out that she is allergic to them.)
*Jill loves her younger cousins. She holds them, plays with them and is so sweet with them.
*Jill is a very happy person. She doesn't let very many things get her down.
*Jill is very thoughtful and kind. She likes to make others feel good and loved.
*Jill is so loving. She often just walks up and gives me a hug then tells me that I just looked like I needed one.
*Jill's favorite food is CHOCOLATE!
*Jill is a good friend.
*Jill works hard in school. She loves learning new things.
