Well, I've gotten completely behind in posting to the blog. So here is an attempt to play catch up.
The last part of our trip was to Denver for a family reunion. My dad was able to get the use of a cabin in Fairplay, Colorado. In all there was my parents, all 6 of us kids, 6 spouses and all 19 grandkids. We all fit in the cabin. We were cozy, but had a GREAT time.
We had a campfire the first night. Everyone took turns telling camp stories. We sang camp songs and roasted marshmallows. YUM!
My sister had put together a slide show of all us. It was great. It included anything from Mom and Dad as kids to the present. It was a ton of fun watching the reaction of the all the grandkids. I mean who know their parents were kids once too.
We celebrated Mom and Dad's 45th Wedding Anniversary which happened to be that weekend also. We presented them with a picture frame with each family's picture and the words to Families are Together Forever in it. It was really neat!
Other fun activites included building forts and playing games. We brought sun catchers for the kids to paint. We had a paper airplane contest. Jordan brought his ladder ball game which we all became quickly addicted to. The man who owns the cabin has hatchets and targets to practice hatchet throwing. We also rode aspen trees. (I will post about that separately!)
It was so fun and I was sooo glad that we went. It had been a long time since we had all been together.
Here is a slide show of some of the pictures! I only included 45 of the 100 I took in the 2 days we were together!
