Trip Part 2-Kansas

The next stop on our trip was Kansas to visit Jared's brother, Paul, and his family. We were very excited to see them. We had a great time with them. We stayed up late, played a lot, caught up, and saw lots of sights.

The cousins having a great time together!

As most people know Jared loves trains. So Paul suggested that we go over to Union Station. The building is absolutely gorgeous inside. It has been recently renovated. There are fun shops and a cafe inside. There is also model trains on display. It was really cool Jared was in heaven.

Looking at the model trains!

They also had a Chronicles of Narnia exhibit there. Unfortunately it was closed on the day we were there, but we did have fun pretending to be Narnia characters.

Across the street from Union Station is a World War 1 memorial. It was really neat. We didn't get to see the museum, but we did walk around on the grounds which was fun. (As a side note...I was telling my parents about all that we did in Kansas City and I found out that this memorial is where my dad kissed my mom for the first time.)
