My Birthday

So last week I celebrated my 34th birthday. It was a really good day. I was spoiled beyond belief. I"m really not used to that. I'm usually the one who does the spoiling. This year was great. I celebrated my birthday several times over. It was so fun!

Anyway, my birthday morning was a school day of course so I had to get the kids ready for school. Jamie did let me off the hook though, because instead of the fun hairdos she usually wants, she told me that she'd sacrifice and just brush it and wear it down. Thanks, Jamie! After the kids were off Jared went into work late and made me breakfast. ( A ham and cheese omelet! Yummy!) Jared and the kids gave me a new shirt and sweater for my birthday. Yeah! Moms love to get new clothes!

I took the day off from most housework and just enjoyed the day. I was taken out to lunch. Yum again! I talked to family, friends, and I had a ton of birthday wishes via e-mail. I think that was my favorite part of the day. It makes you feel good to know how many people are thinking about you.

Then since Jared had to work that night, my in-laws invited the kids and I over for dinner. We had lasagna and an eclair dessert. Yum yet again!!!!! It was an great night!

Jared felt bad that he had to work on my birthday, so Friday night he took me to a movie and dinner. We saw BrideWars. It was pretty good. Although Jared felt his manhood was in jeopardy when the theater was full and there were only 11 men in the whole theater. There were a lot of groups of women. It must have been Girls Night Out or something. Anyway, I just told him they were all jealous that I got my hubby to take me. After the movie, we hit Olive Garden! We've been trying to go there for a long time, but we never want to wait the 1 or 2 hours just to be seated. Anyway, YUMMY yet again.

I wrapped up my birthday celebrations last night. My sister invited us over to their house for dinner. We had an awesome pork roast and then she made cheesecake. YUMMY! (Notice a theme with my b-day? Lots of yummy food) We played games the rest of the night. It was a really fun time!

Thank you all who made my birthday special! I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life. God truly has blessed me! I love you all tons!

What a YUMMY day! I just hope you didn't get too many extra pounds for your birthday with all that food! :) (but even if you had, I bet it would have been worth it! I'm salivating just thinking about cheesecake...)
Happy Birthday again!

I'm glad your birthday lasted several days & you enjoyed all of it! Gotta love an extended birthday! Several of my friends went to see BrideWars too and I really don't remember too many guys there! :) How nice of Jared to endure it though! What a great guy!
