It was a tradition when I was little to get up bright and early to open presents. I'm talking like 4:00 am. We have discouraged this with our kids. Last year, however, the kids got up excited about 2:30 am. We told the kids this year that we would not get up before 6am. Jamie woke up at 3:45 to go to the bathroom and then got so excited to open presents that she couldn't go back to sleep. I had her lay with me until 6am. That was when the other kids started to wake up too.
We were happy that Aunt Mel spent the night with us again on Christmas Eve. It was fun!
Here are a few pictures of Christmas morning! At our house, Santa wraps all the presents giving the kids more things to open. So this is our living room before the unwrapping begins!

It was a great morning! I did get to take a nap later as I was exhausted from being up with Jamie. Then Jared and I made breakfast burritos. (This has become a tradition for Christmas morning) Grandma and Grandpa P even came to help us eat the breakfast burritos.

Ben would love the Indiana Jones legos - they don't sell that here. Oh well. It sounds like you had fun!
