Jamie's Broken Arm
Friday night Jamie was running down the street and her foot twisted in her shoe and she fell on top of her arm. Luckily Aunt Karen (a seasoned nurse) was with us and took one look at it and told us that it was broken. We put her in the car and took her straight to the ER. As you can tell from the x-rays one bone broke and they other was bent. It was very painful. They had to sedate her in order to set it. Anyway, she is in a soft cast for a week in order to give her wrist room to swell. On Friday, we go back to the doctor to get a hard cast.

Man, that stinks. Good thing she wasn't wearing glasses too, as that could have been a messier fall. So is she going to start school wearing a cast?
They really haven't told us how long she will be in the cast, but I'm sure she will have it on when school starts. School starts in 3 weeks. Last time she broke her arm she had a cast for 6 weeks and it wasn't as bad a break as this one.
Ouch! Did she like the 'get well' zucchini we sent her? I thought it looked like a cast!
