A Justin story

Having kids is an eye opening experience. Sometimes you just never know what kids listen to and how they interpret what they have heard.

So yesterday at church Justin was sitting on my lap. We were looking at a book about Jesus. He leans over and whispers to me, "Mom, do you know where Jesus lives?"

I say to him, "Well, Jesus lives in heaven."

"But, Mom, do you know where heaven is?"

I think about it and say, "Well, I don't know exactly where heaven is, but I do know that Jesus lives and that is where he is."

Justin very sweetly puts his arm around my neck and whispers, "Mom, I know where heaven is."

"You do?"

"Yes. Do you want to know where heaven is?"

Of course I say that I do.

So Justin leans in and says, "Heaven is in the attic." I must have looked confused because he leans in and so seriously says, "you know, Mom, he's the man upstairs."

Very nice! It is hilarious the things read into all that adults say!
