California Trip Part 1

We had a great vacation to California this summer. Jared's brother, Sam, and his family lives out there and we thought it was about time to take advantage of their hospitality. We had blast. Jared had a voucher and enough flyer miles that we were all able to fly out for just $25. We thought it was a great deal. Although we have flown with the girls before, Jill was 1 and Jamie 3. They absolutely don't remember anything about it. So it was pretty much a first flight with all the kids. They LOVED it!!!

We went from the airport to the car rental place to the beach. Lisa met us at Redondo Pier with the kids and we and headed over to the beach. It was great. Later that night we went to another beach (Cabrillo) for a fire to roast hot dogs and marshmallows. YUM!

We were able to sight see around the base and then head over to Long Beach. We had a great time walking through all the shops at Long Beach. We especially had fun in the hat store.

Another day we went back to Redondo Beach. It was so FUN. Sam and Lisa had bought a couple of boogie boards and we all had a great time with them. We played in the ocean and the sand. We just really enjoyed our time together. Except for the issue of the rental car key ending up in the bottom of the ocean, (we don't mention this around Jared...) the day was perfect.

We also spent a day at Six Flags Magic Mountain. AWESOME! Enough said.

I know this slide show is long, but I couldn't decide between so many great pictures. If only you knew how long it was before I edited it. I did decide to post pictures in two parts so they wouldn't be so long.
