Before I start posting 1st day of school pictures, I figured I should at least post Jill's 6th grade graduation photos. It was a really fun program. Jill was totally embarrassed when I tried to get up close to take pictures so she would turn away when she saw me. (Even though everyone else's parents were doing the exact same thing... that little stinker!) Anyway, I had to get my pictures from a distance so she wouldn't know I was snapping pictures.
This is Jill with her teacher. He was really awesome and made it a fun year for Jill. Jill was one of the students who received an award for high academic achievement for all of elementary school. When Mr. Yardley called her up he made a comment about how he felt short next to some of his students. (Jill is only an inch or two shorter than him.) So while she was standing there next to him she would scrunch down a bit. Whenever his back was to her she would stand up straight. Whenever he turned towards her, she would scrunch down again. Each time she would go a bit lower until one time she was actually on her knees. He got a kick out of her.
Of course after it was all over Jill let me take a picture of her and her friends.
