One of the fun things that the 6th graders at our school get to do is the egg drop. They usually do it as part of Red Ribbon Week in September. (Yes, that means I've been horrible about posting things!) Anyway, Jill was very excited to participate. She had to create a protective container to put a raw egg in. Jill built her container from bubble wrap and then put it inside a pillow. This is a pretty big deal at the school. The whole school comes out to watch all the eggs being dropped. When Jamie did this the teachers got on the school roof to toss the eggs off. But they do it a bit differently now. The city sends a DARE car and a firetruck to the school. The Firetruck extends its ladder and the firemen throw the eggs off the end of the ladder. The kids thought it was way cool.
Anyway, I went over to the school to watch. As soon as I got there I saw Jill and a couple of her friends holding the Welcome sign for the Firetruck.

It is all in one piece!

What an awesome activity. Even cooler that the emergency guys come out to do it. Way to go Jill that it didn't break!
