Happy Anniversary!

Today is our 13th Anniversary! What great memories we have made in the last 13 years. It is amazing how time flies! Some days it feels like yesterday that we got married. Then I look at the pictures and am reminded that it really was 13 years. (Look at how young we were!)

Here are a few things you may or may not know about us:

*I knew we must be destined when I started marrying a man with a "J" name. (Considering my parents and siblings all have J names!)

*Jared was the new guy in town and I was nice to him, the rest is history!

*Jared fell in love with me the night I wore my sunglasses at 11pm and sang, "I wear my sunglasses at night" with my friend, Melanie.

*When we first started dating, played Yahtzee every night for weeks. After we got married he informed me that he has ALWAYS hated Yahtzee!

*One of the first things Jared ever bought was a HUGE silver bowl to make him cookies in. I've been baking for him ever since!

*Our first "date" was playing hide n seek in Wal-Mart.

*I don't think we had a date that we actually spent money on until we'd been dating for a couple of months. We went for walks around campus, we watched movies, played games (Yahtzee) mostly, and sat out on the porch swing and talked. (There were a few slurpee runs, but if you spend less than a dollar...does it really count as spending money?)

*We both LOVE the mountains!

*We love our families tons! The more around the merrier!

*Unlike most relationships, I am the one most likely to want to watch a sporting event.

*Jared didn't like meatloaf, guacamole or pasta salad until he met me.

*Jared is my best friend! There are days he can drive me nuts, but even more days that I just can't wait to see him walk through the door at night!
