An exciting morning at work

So you all know that the Arts can be an exciting job. But this morning was a little different.

Some Background:

Last Friday a “suspect”, as we will call him. Walked in the front door of the offices and went down the hall to marketing. He then left that area went to the second floor. There he broke into my bosses office and stole his laptop. The perp then went to the 3^rd floor and stole and empty box. He left via the front door with no one stopping him. This all happened at 9:30am. At 12:30pm he came back and came in the back door but someone was there so he left. They followed him and saw the vehicle that he jumped in and got away.

All of the movements were caught on surveillance cameras. All videos were given to the cops and we had to wait.

Back to this morning:

So I was talking to our IT guy about work, like always. His office faces the front of the building. While talking someone that looked like the bad guy from the week before walks in. heads down the hall and starts checking office doors. Well the brave/stupid, depends on who you talk to, confronts the suspect and I ask if I can help. He then goes on about so BS about looking for work. What he does not know is I have him talking facing the surveillance camera for over a minute (insert evil laugh).

So the perp leaves our building. The IT guy and I follow in his car. The suspect walks around the corner. We double back and see him go in and come out a few minutes later from the spring air factory. And now he has a second bag that he did not have earlier. So I get out of the car and go to watch what we think is his car, it wasn’t. the IT guy is on the phone with me while he is following him. We decide to call the cops. So the cops take him down, and he fought back. I have to go over and fill out paper work.

So in the end. The thief stole another laptop from spring air and some food. So they busted him for that right then. Plus trying to hit a cop and a few other things. The laptop was returned and the guy was very happy to get it back, he did not even know it was gone yet.

And the video from today proves he was the same guy on Friday. He wore the same shoes.

And FYI. Next Tuesday when Obama wins we as white citizens wont be allowed to do any of this to a black guy, even though he is on video.
