Justin just turned 5 this weekend! He had a great day and
was spoiled like crazy! Uncle Jordan and Aunt Melanie were
here visiting so that were able to celebrate with us. Aunt Jerri
and her family also came to celebrate too. Aunt Nancy and
Karen even stopped by to see him.
Justin wanted a cake shaped like a baseball hat. I was happy
to do it for him (especially since it was so much easier
than the excavator cake Jacob wanted!)
Justin spent the whole day saying, "But I'm the birthday boy!"
For example,I would say something like,
"Justin, go put your shoes away."
"But I'm the birthday boy!"
Or, "Justin, no more candy..."
"But I'm the birthday boy!"
Or, "Hey buddy take your toys to your room..."
"But I'm the birthday boy!"
Well, I think you get the idea. So anyway, Justin learned that
just because it is your birthday it doesn't mean that you don't
have to do anything all day long. Poor Justin!
It is so hard to believe that my baby is actually five years old.
I keep telling him that he isn't supposed to grow up,
but he just doesn't listen. We are so very blessed to have
Justin in our family. We love his smile and his teasing eyes.
We love his hugs and cuddles and yes even ear time.
(For those of you who may not know this, Justin loves to
play with peoples ears. Whenever he is hurt, tired or
upset we hold him and he rubs our ears for comfort.
Yes, it is weird, but it is just what he does.
He's done it since he was about a year old.
We keep waitingfor him to out grow it.)
Anyway, we love you, Justin! We are so proud of you!
Happy Birthday! Here are some pictures from the big day.

Happy Birthday, Justin! Sounds like you had a wonderful day! (You might want to try eyebrows instead of ears... your momma used to rub my eyebrows, and it is actually very relaxing...) (wierd, I know)
Good day for Justin it sounds like. As for the ear fettish, Ronald Reagan was known to reach over and rub someones earlobe for some odd reason, so he's in good company.
