Jamie's b-day and Father's day

I know this post is long overdue, but here we go anyway...Jamie turned 14 over the summer. I can't believe it! I have a 14yr old. We are now being constantly reminded that a year from now we will be getting a driver's permit and two years from now we will have someone dating. It is crazy. Jamie is in 9th grade this year which is the time when all your grades are officially part of your transcript. Jamie has been working hard to make good grades. Jamie is also playing on the school volleyball team and was voted to be team captain. Jamie is also playing basketball and yearbook editor. Jamie is a wonderful young lady and we are proud to be her parents.

Jamie wanted strawberry shortcake for her b-day this year. YUM!!!!!

Sometimes Jamie's b-day lands on or near Father's Day and so Jared and Jamie need to compromise on their special dinner and dessert. This is what happened this year.
They are happy to share their special day.

Jared's Father's Day breakfast in bed.

Back to Jamie...We got her several pairs of practice shorts for volleyball. She was excited to get them.

One of the things Jamie was so excited about turning 14 was that she could now attend the church dances. She had looked forward to it for a long time. Here she is going to her first church dance with her cousin, Jenn.
