Christmas Eve

Christmas eve was really fun.

Julie came down during the day and Jared took all the kids to the park.  Unfortunately we don't have any pictures of that adventure, but I heard the kids say that it was sooooo fun!

Later that night, we had a nice dinner and then I took my family to visit my good friend, Liz, from high school.  What a great time we had catching up and reminiscing.

After that we came home and made Christmas cookies to leave for Santa.   Grandma was really impressed with how creative the kids got in their decorating.

Cookies!

After the cookies were frosted the kids started getting a bit silly with the frosting and sprinkles.

Here is the result...
"Hey, sprinkles make my tongue GREEN!"

a Christmas tree

a candy cane

a snowman

GROSS!

Then Grandma brought out the whip cream...

Present Time!

Each year we let the kids open one present on Christmas Eve. This year I made each of the kids some new pajama pants. I tried to match each child's material with their personality/

Then we read the Christmas story from Luke. It was a good reminder of what Christmas is really about. Right before bed I read "The Night Before Christmas" to the kids.

Merry Christmas!
