My nephew, Jason, was the cause of much family togetherness and festivities a couple of weeks ago. Jason has been called to serve a mission for our church in Honduras. We are so proud of him and his decision. I know he is excited and has been preparing for this opportunity for a long time.
Before a missionary leaves they have the opportunity to speak in church. Although not all the family could make it, many of came together to listen to Jason speak and to say goodbye.
We had quite a weekend. My parents and two of my brothers, John and Jordan, came with their families. It was a really fun weekend. We played and had a big dinner at my house on Saturday. On Sunday we went to church and then over to my sister's house for a big dinner with all Jason's family and friends.
We took lots of pictures, enjoyed lots of good food, had many laughs and just over all enjoyed the day.
You may notice that a large percentage of the pictures have a certain special someone in them. Now you may think that since the weekend was all about Jason he would be in most of the pictures. However, that is just not the case here. It just so happens that I have a brand new nephew whom many of us got to meet for the first time. So everyone wanted to hold cute little Spencer and have their picture taken with him.
